Somerset Sun
We spent a few days down in Somerset with our extended family over half-term, it was great to catch up with people who we see precious little of; especially my niece and nephew. Both my brother-in-law and sister-in-law are photographers too and it can be a bit like a press call when we get together for the day! The kids, thankfully, are used to it and barely spare us a glance. I grabbed a handful of shots from the Sunday to show here:
The roundabout shot was a complete fluke! I was using a slow shutter speed to get the movement (1/13th from memory) and just managed to snap a frame as one chap was moving relative to the camera and the other wasn’t – there’s no other trick to that shot other than luck! I’ve been playing with ‘letter-box’ crops too, as you’ll see – I think they work well with the subject and have the benefit of coming together well as a triptych for a larger end-result.
Cheers for now!
Snowdrop Walk
The weather today was completely opposite from the last forecast I saw so we took the opportunity to get out and about. I had spotted that the local Leonard Cheshire home was having a snowdrop walk whilst I was out on my bike (training!) this morning so after lunch we popped along and had a lovely time wandering around the lake. Photos? Naturally!
