Dave and Shirley
What can I say? A really eclectic day out, but in a good way! The weather was kind, the location was brilliant and the guests were all very friendly! Opportunities for candid photography were everywhere and I shot an awful lot frames (over 800!) so it will be a little while until I’ve edited that down to a manageable size. In the meantime here are a handful of images straight off the camera, more or less.
If you were a guest at the wedding, drop me a line through the Contact page telling me the colour of Dave’s evening wear or the name of the location and I’ll email you the web-gallery details and password when they’re published. It was really nice meeting you all!
Leanne and Steve
Last night I shot photos for Leanne and Steve over at Barnham Broom Golf Club. A really good fun evening with people who didn’t mind having their picture taken! I had a make-shift studio setup in the corner with just about enough space
and plenty of willing customers right through the evening. Here’s a selection of some of the formals and the candid pictures from the evening. The full proof gallery can be seen here, just click.
Not just people and places…
Something a little bit different for today, food. My friend Paul runs a business that sells puddings to pubs, bars, restaurants and other food outlets and he was complaining to me about the costs of studio time to get photos of his wares. I said I’d willingly have a go on a ‘no-win, no-fee’ basis. Time passed and Paul gave me a shout to say he needed some pictures doing and so, shortly afterwards, I found myself at Paul’s place up to my elbows in puddings!
Once we built and lit the set it was a relatively simple process to prepare the next pudding, position it and shoot it. The setup process cost us two or three puddings to get get right. After that, we romped through them. A bit of post-processing and these are the finished articles:
A side-benefit was that there were a lot of puddings left over – Paul brought bulk packs to the shoot just in case! – he doesn’t eat them, which is pretty understandable when he ships millions every year! I took them all home and filled the freezer! Anyway, it was all worthwhile, Paul emailed me today to organise another shoot!
